Infants and Toddlers: Little Beavers Infant/Toddler program serves children ages twelve weeks through two and a half years. Our teacher to child ratio is one to four with a maximum of eight children in one group. Infants and Toddlers are welcomed into a loving and affectionate environment helping them to develop a trust relationship with our teachers. Each day is filled with sensory experiences allowing the children to explore and learn. Our professional staff also focuses on building early communication skills through songs, stories and lots of conversation. Infants receive constant physical attention and are frequently held. Toddlers participate in circle time with thematic songs and stories and art experience. Incorporated into the classroom are a home center, library and manipulative choices. Our goal is to love and nurture each child by using a preschool environment and a great deal of hands on care.
Preschool: Our three preschool classrooms serve children from two and a half years through kindergarten. While our child to teacher ratio is 10 to 1, a typical class size has no more than eight children. Each classroom is designed to be age-appropriate and implements a curriculum fitting to the developmental stage of each child. Our daily schedule includes circle time, stories, math and phonics concepts, and art experiences. Children also enjoy outdoor play and creative centers.
School Age: For children attending half day kindergarten, our program provides reinforcement of the phonics and math skills they are learning in their morning classes. The low teacher to student ratio of 1 to 15 allows for individualized attention. Our after school elementary program serves children from kindergarten through second grade and has proven to be a great place to build lasting friendships. Bus service is available to and from Mt. View Elementary School. Our tuition includes full day care on school closure dates.
Wilson: Our large multi-age classroom is a great place for making friends and learning new things every day. We serve children from ages two and a half through second grade and maintain a preschool ratio of one teacher to ten children. We offer curriculum plans that complement those used in Wilson Elementary School's kindergarten program. Our location gives us the unique advantage of helping children transition before and after classes.
