Important Parent Information:
**Little Beavers Christmas Celebration: You won't want to miss this special event!  Bring your camera and invite friends and family to watch your little star in our annual Christmas program, Friday, December 18th at 7pm in the NazDome.  Children should arrive by 6:50.  There will also be a visit from Santa himself following the program!
**Christmas Holiday: We will be closed starting Thursday, December 24th and will reopen on Monday, January 4th. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Our History: Little Beavers Preschool was founded by Al and Jan East in 1973.  As OSU graduates and avid Beaver sports fans (Al played in the 1964 Rose Bowl) they knew the perfect name for their business had to be "Little Beavers"!  The preschool was inspired from a Christian foundation and designed to provide quality childcare in a loving and home-like atmosphere.  Our commitment to these goals remains strong today and is evidenced in every classroom.  Jan is a pillar in the Corvallis child care community and was recently appointed by the Governor to the Commission of Children and Families.  The warm, nurturing and educational environment that is a hallmark of Little Beavers is a direct result of Jan's passion for serving children and her many years of experience working with families.

Our Philosophy: Our teachers encourage learning at each child's developmental level.  We implement monthly curriculum themes using stories, music, arts and crafts.  Math and science concepts are introduced through hands on activities using our sensory tables and experiments.  Children have many opportunities to develop imaginative and social skills in our dramatic play areas and manipulative centers.  Friendships are built as we encourage children to develop problem solving skills and promote cooperative work and play.

Our Teachers:  Our staff strives to team with families in every aspect of their child's education and experience at Little Beavers.  We are committed to the individual growth and success of each child in our care.  Our teachers are not only educated and experienced professionals, they are a caring and supportive team.  All employees are carefully chosen and are registered in the Criminal History Registry.  Our teachers complete and exceed the annual 15 hours of additional training required by the Child Care Division.  Additionally, each one has an Oregon Food Handler's card and is certified in first-aid and CPR.  Their positive and loving attitudes promote the building of strong relationships.

Our Preschool location:  We are conveniently located just north of Corvallis on Highway 99W.  Our unique country setting includes three age-appropriate playgrounds.  Children have opportunities to exercise their large motor skills whether climbing in the Beaver Fort, riding on the bike path, or helping in the garden beds.  We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm.  Hours for the Infant/Toddler program are 7:30am through 5:30pm.

Our Learning Center Location:  Our classroom is inside Wilson Elementary School in Room 13.  Our location provides perfect place for before and after school care or preschool experience for those too young for school yet.  We benefit from being able to utilize Wildcat Park, the school library and cafeteria.  Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30 pm.
