• Our Team

    Our teachers are a caring team of educated and experienced professionals who partner with families and interact with children using developmentally appropriate environments, curriculum and methods which foster learning at our preschool. Little Beavers Preschool pride ourselves on the diversity of our programs. We hire teachers with diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to have a broad spectrum of children from all different cultures and countries to provide a loving and inclusive environment that sets a foundation and follows them throughout their lives.

    Our teachers are CPR/First aid certified and attend continuing educational training.

  • Our Philosophy

    Our teachers encourage learning at each child’s developmental level. We implement monthly curriculum themes using stories, music, arts and crafts. Math and science concepts are introduced through hands on activities using our sensory tables and experiments. Children have many opportunities to develop imaginative and social skills in our dramatic play areas and manipulative centers. Friendships are built as we encourage children to develop problem solving skills and promote cooperative work and play. We are sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of each child.

    Our staff strives to team with families in every aspect of their child’s education and experience at Little Beavers. We are committed to the individual growth and success of each child in our care. Our teachers are not only educated and experienced professionals, they are a caring and supportive team. All employees are carefully chosen and are registered in the Criminal History Registry. Our teachers complete and exceed the annual 15 hours of additional training required by the Child Care Division. Additionally, each one has an Oregon Food Handler’s card and is certified in first-aid and CPR.
